I'm looking forward to running in Portland too - maybe I'll see you there :).<br /><br />I'm from a hotter climate though, so I'm a little nervous about what to wear since Portland is (thankfully) going to be cooler. The averages for early October in Portland: temperature seems to be around 50-55F with 53% humidity and a little bit of wind (4mph). From an unscientific pass through photos of finishers between 3:10 and 3:30 from 2007 and 2008 it seems like shorts and a shirt should suffice. Perhaps some light throw-away gloves too, for the first few miles. Photos at the start are a bit harder to get something out of (since the runners are packed in) but it seems like there is a larger concentration of long sleeves there ... <br /><br />Thankfully the clothing check is pretty near the start so it shouldn't be a problem to make a final decision just a little before race time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
